People save ticket stubs for many reasons. Stubs are like a small memento of the show you just saw. Today a printed ticket for anything is becoming rare. Smart Phones just scan your ticket and you're in! No paper wasted BUT no ticket stub either!

Elvis Costello, Orpheum Theatre, Boston, Mass, 1979 Armed Forces Tour
No Cameras allowed, yet Frank P. smuggled one in and took this rare shot of Elvis singing "I stand accused but I'm guilty...". Great shot, Thanks Frank!
This is my favorite. A true example of Old School ticket stub. You had to go to the Box Office to get this kind of ticket. Luckily I ended up with the larger half.
DEVO, Orpheum Theatre, Boston, Mass, 1980
Freedom of Choice Tour
This was an interesting show to say the least. If I recall the band made
at least three wardrobe changes and as many set changes too. All that and
a Top 10 Hit song called "Whip It!" . . . you remember.
The Neighborhoods, Outdoor Musicfest, Norwell, Mass, 1980

This was a great show! Two of Boston's best local acts of their day, The Stompers and The Neighborhoods (featured above), along with the T's and Blue Ice rocked the Norwell Jr. High Football Field. I have a number of great photos from this show. More to be posted soon. A friend of mine, Rick and I shot two rolls of Black & White 35mm film that day (talk about old school).
